Your Privacy with UNICEF Australia and the Australia Pacific Youth Climate Dialogue

When you apply to attend the APYCD, we will collect your personal information (including your name, age, email, and date of birth) as part of your application. Providing your personal information is optional. However, if you choose not to, we may be unable to process your application to attend.

We may use your personal information to:
     - Confirm your eligibility to attend the APYCD
     - Send updates and connect with you about the selection process and event
     -  Invite you to attend the APYCD and arrange any relevant travel needs.

We may disclose your personal information to the organisations we are partnering with who are involved in the APYCD participant selection process. Who can apply?

​- Youth aged 18-29 and a valid passport (as of 18 August 2025)
- Youth resident in Australia, New Zealand and countries/territories of Pacific.

​​Eligible countries per the Pacific Community (SPC), the Oceanic Pacific region is composed of these 24 countries and territories: American Samoa, Australia, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Wallis and Futuna.

Key Dates

​- Applications open on 18 August, 2025
- Applications close at midnight on Sunday 7 September, 2025
- Applicants will be notified of outcomes by 19 September, 2025

The Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed with representation from the APYCD Youth Steering Committee, UNICEF Australia, UNICEF Pacific, Western Sydney University and The Australian National University staff. Each application will be assessed; shortlisted applicants may undergo referee checks.
